Chirac does it again

Of course old Jacques knows best. Nothing like a Republican president to bring the terrorists out in number. Is this guy stupid? How much of the French political system is infested with this kind of idiocy?

Let's use Libya as an example. Libya used to be the defacto staging point for airline bombings until Reagan bombed them in '87. From that time on we haven't heard a peep out of them.

Does Jacques really have anything against terrorism? I'm not convinced that he does. It's well documented that the French government sells weapons to just about anyone who is willing to pay. They have sold weapons to Iran, Iraq, Libya, the list goes on.

So why would anyone take Chirac's word for anything?

When will it be final?

It's 03:30 EST and here is a run down of the news outlets that haven't conceded defeat:

CNN.com
CBSNews.com
ABCNews.go.com

What did I mean by "conceding defeat"? Some media have a firm grasp of math, and can see that GWB has the election wrapped up. Any station that hasn't given Ohio to GWB must be holding onto some hope that absentee ballots will turn the tide. This isn't proof that they are pro-Kerry, but I'm running out of ideas as to why they would behave in such a way. And absentee ballots are not the hail-mary that they need. There is no way that the absentee ballots will be 100% pro-Kerry, and Kerry is behind by almost the exact amount of ballots that are expected to come in absentee for Ohio.

Nobody seems to be willing to give final results right now, but give me a break. George has Ohio now, and New Mexico is a no brainer as well. At least MSNBC.com and FoxNews.com were clear minded enough to report the numbers in an impartial manner. The 3 listed above seem to be fearful of the results. Maybe Dan Rather will get the boot tomorrow. I can't see why the election would have any sway on that decision. His bosses haven't fired him in this last administration, so why do it in the second term? They don't cater to the GOP, they are lap-dogs for the Dems.

Kerry is funny

Check this out: FlipFlop

It's a short video that takes afew minutes to watch, but definitely educates.

Well, Republicans rule the US again.

And that's fine by me. The White house, the Senate, and the House of Representatives are all under GOP control. I hope this brings some common sense back into US politics.

I'm sick of hearing calls to conform to foreign whims. I don't give a hell what other countries think, what matters most is that our government looks out for US citizens.

Not that I want America to be a world outcast either. Maybe we should just bomb the world into submission? HAHAHAHA!!!! Just kidding, oh man, I'm seriously the funniest person I know. I should get out more.

I just hope Ohio doesn't turn into a 2000 Florida.

Vote!

I'm getting sick of politics. I'm a right winger, and in my opinion, both sides are acting like dorks.

I don't mean the candidates, I mean their supporters. Look at what we call celebrities and the sad behavior that they employ at this time of the political cycle. M&M has a new music video that rips George W apart (I know how his name is spelled, he's just an under-educated young punk, and I have the right to mock him and his stupid stage name). This video is a blatant attempt to get young voters to vote how he wants. I saw an entire album of various artists a few months ago that was called "Rock Against Bush". Hmm, wonder why that was made? I would love to see who started that project, and where it got it's funding. Hollywood acts like every republican candidate clubs baby seals and worships satan. But they go on to promote every liberal candidate as if God had chosen them for the office, and if you don't vote for them, then you are socially irresponsible and inherently evil. Give me a break. Not that the right wing is any better. It's like some horrible cycle that keeps getting worse, and the only way that any candidate can hope to overcome the mud slinging, is to join in and sling some back. Whatever happened to staying out of range? But it's obvious that the days are long past that we can hope for a squeaky clean president.

NOBODY in the last couple of decades has gotten to the place where they have a legitimate shot at running for president without 2 things. First, they know enough about the system to do the job adequately. And second, they didn't get that far without dirtying their hands a little (campaign contributions, cover ups, etc...). Everyone of these people has a few skeletons in the closet. So 2 things are guaranteed: they are able to do the job, and we are gonna hear things about them that we don't like.

So what dirt do we have this time around? There is no doubt in my mind that Kerry was a coward in Vietnam and that his 3 purple hearts are complete BS. He missed only 2 days of duty from the injuries that resulted in 3 purple hearts (most purple heart injuries result in weeks of missed duty each), and he nominated himself for at least one of the purple hearts (usually your commander does this). There is also no doubt in my mind that GWB was a slacker in the National Guard and that he partied hard when he was younger. But either of these guys will be able to preside over our country just fine, so drop the martyr act people.

I understand that some people don't like our current president, and some think he is not a good leader. Fine. But some of these same people will tell you straight faced, that George is the single worst president in the history of humanity. Even more comical is hearing these people (and even Republicans) go on as if their candidate/party is blameless for the current state of the nation. Give me a break! In my lifetime America has always had more than one party in our government. You can't blame the president for everything, just like you can't blame one party for everything that is wrong or right in the country. We have a congress made up of more than two parties (though few are not Republican or Democrat), so both have to bear some of the blame. We are ALL at fault for the state of America, wether we voted for these people or not, and even if you didn't vote at all. Everyone of voting age has to bear some of the responsibility for where we are now.

Get out and vote!

Other countries

Now to everyone in countries that doesn't like the US. Shut up and get a hobby. I'm sick of hearing people in other countries complain about how the US uses it's influence to do this or that. Odds are, if you're from another country, you owe us money. And this isn't a case of America throwing money at you. It's inevitably a case of "your country was SOL, and you asked us for help". Do you know how many billions of dollars and millions of tons of food we ship to countries in need every year? Does your country match the amount of aid that we give out every year? And odds are that your country receives some of the aid that we send out every year. The money for this aid comes from the dollars that I pay in taxes, and I pay a lot. I'm in one of the worst tax situations right now, young, single, and making decent money. So pardon me if I get offended when I hear the latest French "outrage" against something that the US has done. That government still owes us more money than some countries GNP.

So you think that your country caves in to pressure from the US? You're damn right they do, but it's not because they are afraid of our military, they do it usually because they don't want citizens starving and dying. Or at least because they want to be on the winning side of the next world war. So we want a military base in your region, and you don't want to dig mass graves to bury all the people that died from some natural disaster or that your government killed from lack of decent leadership. Sounds like a fair trade to us.

And to you fanatical Muslims that wish to harm the US because you think we oppress Islam. Do you realize that we have Muslims over here? By harming the US, you are harming other Muslims. By your own laws you are sinning. There is no excuse for this. If you try to rationalize your harm of other Muslims, you are sinning even further. Allah will punish you for this, whether here on earth or in the afterlife. Think about that for a while.

France

Know why France was so angry about the US invasion of Iraq? France was selling them a good percentage of their weapons. Like Mirage air superiority fighters, anti-aircraft weapons, and that RDX and HDX that is missing from the bunkers in al Qa Qaa. Thanks France, thanks for making the world a better place. Well, after selling one of the most evil dictators in history large amounts of high explosive, were you at least able to come up with the money that you owe the US? No? Oh you had to buy some more barret's, I see.

I think it's time for the US to play the part of "loan shark", and start collecting. "Now have the money by next week or you'll be down to 8 toes!"

Is everyone lame?

I just looked through a few other blogs, and I've realized that most everyone on here seems to have no life at all. Maybe my family and I are the only ones that are interesting. We should form some kind of ruling class for the rest of you to be indentured to.

Kirsten has possible the funniest blog I've ever read. My sister Marianne just started one, but I expect to be entertained. With this level of hotness and whit, I bet most people would gladly subject themselves to our rule. I'll look into this., give me a week or so.

WTH?

I just created this to be able to post on other blogs. Please leave me alone. My life isn't interesting enough to blog.
